March 2017 marks a milestone in Madrona Gallery history. This month, we are celebrating an exhibition of historical Canadian art. Featured artists include members of the Group of Seven, Jean Paul Riopelle, Emily Carr, Takao Tanabe, Allen Sapp, Henry Glyde, Tom Thomson and many others. We are pleased to share an article written in the Times Colonist by art writer Robert Amos in recognition of this landmark show.

Nic Vandergugten: The Art of Education

This week's feature on the life and work of an artists features second generation Victoria based artist Nic Vandergugten’s. Nic's artistic adventure began with print making but since starting his BFA in Contemporary Art at UVIC he has embraced new mediums including painting, projected street art and installations. His most recent prints and multimedia works were displayed at an exhibition at The Fifty Fifty Arts Collective.
